Constitutional Maintenance and Domestic Violence Consultancy CC is a web based family law, legal consultancy making use of email, telephone voip and sms in our communication and provision of services to our clients. We do however have face - to face meetings with our clients should they so wish. However, if anonymity is what you want, our services would fit your need. We provide legal advice on an array of legal topics and welcome you to make use our services.
Our Focus
Non payment of maintenance / child support and the perpetration of domestic violence is common, and a major problem in South Africa. Unfortunately, to get a Maintenance or Protection Order, one needs to go to Court for it, often a few times. As we are not attorneys, our focus is to advise and educate you of the maintenance and domestic violence Court processes and assist you in every step when taking your complaint to Court on your own. We however do not represent our clients at court nor do we sign documents on their behalf. The same applies to other family law related matters (eg. access, custody etc).
When we consult (telephonically / in person) with you in a maintenance matter, we will explain to you the process, advise you on filling out the application, and advise you on the next step that needs to be taken. We will also be available to consult and advise you through the process up until preparation for trial. Therefore, we will assist you in getting your facts in a row and also the documents and / or evidence you need to present at Court, in order.
The same applies to Domestic Violence matters. We can advise you from filling in the papers to consulting and advising you through the process until preparation for trial.
If you have issues concerning care (custody) and contact (visitation) or need advice in that regard, we will be happy to advise you accordingly.
Should you and the other parent of you child require a prenting plan to be drafted; we would be happy to assist you in this regard.

The Benefits of making use of our pre - litigation services
The benefits of first consulting with us before approaching the Court is that quality time is first spent in making sure that your application (maintenance / domestic violence / contact / custody) is in order and that you would not be surprised should your application be contested, opposed or defended. So once your documents are in order, you can confidently go the Court, and file your application and can be certain that once the papers are before the Court Judge or Magistrate, a proper foundation has been laid. In no way do we underscore the services of an attorney. In actual fact, if you can afford the services of an attorney, we recommend you approach one to take your case to the end. Furthermore, throughout your legal process, we would be available to consult with you and advise you accordingly.
